“Judging the Son of God” Matthew 27:41-46 Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 Pastor Greg Wilson 1. The Question is and always has been “Is He the Son of God?”  That was the question during His trial before the Jewish authorities  Luke 22:70  That was the question during His trial before the Roman authorities  John 19:7-8  That was the question during His trial before God the Father 2. Some recognized Jesus as the Son of God, some did not  There were those who recognized Him right away  Matthew 4:3,6 • 8:29  There were those who recognized Him after a while  Matthew 16:16  There were those who recognized Him as He died 3. The Jury was out three days, but the verdict has been rendered  He was dead and buried just like everyone else  Until He wasn’t  Romans 1:1-4 Application: For some of you the jury is still out. Jesus is still on trial. All we can offer you is this question? Did Jesus rise from the dead or not?
